Inanunsyo ng Palasyo ngayong araw, Mayo 21, na pinayagan na ng IATF-EID ang religious gatherings sa Metro Manila ng hanggang 30 percent seating capacity mula sa dating 10 percent.
Ito ay matapos sumang-ayon ang Metro Manila Council na binubuo ng mga alkalde sa NCR na luwagan na ang mga restriksyon sa mga religious activities.
“The Inter-Agency Task Force on Thursday, May 20, 2021, noted that the Metro Manila Council has allowed religious gatherings at 30-percent venue capacity,” saad ni Roque sa isang press statement.
Nauna nang itakda ng IATF sa 10 percent seating capacity lamang ang church gatherings na gagawin sa NCR Plus na nasa ilalim ngayon ng GCQ.
Ayon pa kay Roque, nasa mga lokal na pamahalaan ang desisyon kung gugustuhin ng mga itong dagdagan ang kapasidad ng venue hangga’t hindi lumalagpas ang mga ito sa itinalagang 30 percent.
“Local government units, however, are given the discretion to increase the venue capacity of religious gatherings as long as these would not exceed the 30 percent allowable venue capacity,” saad niya.
