SINOVAC MAAARING IBAKUNA SA IKALAWANG DOSE NI PRRD

Maaaring ibang bakuna na ang ibigay kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte matapos nitong hilingin sa Chinese Embassy na kunin ang ibinigay nitong donasyon na 1,000 doses ng Sinopharm  vaccine sa bansa.

Ayon kay Dr. Rontgene Solante, malaki umano ang posibilidad na Sinovac ang ibigay na pangalawang dose sa Pangulo sapagkat aniya, halos magkatulad umano ang dalawang bakunang gawa sa bansang China.

“Kung halimbawa hindi na pwede ang Sinopharm, meron namang isang bakuna na magkahawig sa Sinopharm na nabigyan na rin ng approval natin, ‘yung Sinovac.”

Paliwanag pa niya, kailangan umanong maisumite muna ng Sinopharm ang kinakailanganG dokumento sa Vaccine Expert Panel at sa Food and Drug Administration bago ito mabigyan ng emergency use authorization para magamit ng publiko.

“Puwede niyang (Duterte) ipahabol ang Sinopharm [for authorization], but Sinopharm has to submit the data. Kung hindi naman puwede ang Sinopharm, puwede naman ang kahawig na bakuna, ‘yung Sinovac,” paliwanag ni Solante.

Kaugnay nito, nabanggit din ni Solante na pinag-aaralan na sa ibang bansa ang pag-mix and match ng bakuna subalit aniya, “We have data… but that’s hypothetical.” 

Sa kasalukuyan, hindi pa umano makumpirma ni Solante kung si Pangulong Duterte ang kauna-unahang lider ng bansa na mababakunahan ng ibang brand ng bakuna.
